How to get Belarusian visa?
Remember that getting Belarusian visa is usually easier than you think
:) In most cases you need to submit along with your application two documents
which are invitation and voucher. Together they are called visa support
documents. There are embassies which are democratic (they are OK with
files to be sent via e-mail or by fax) )and there are ones which are very
conservative what means that they require you to present the originals
of invitation in voucher. Of course, it means that I will have to mail
them to you what increase the time and cost of providing visa support
service. In case travelers do not want to deal with "unfriendly Belarusian
embassy" I advise them two options: getting visa at another country
(I suggest a country based on the traveler's schedule and other things)
or obtaining it at the Minsk-2 national airport upon the arrival. In order
to define the best option please mail me your travel itenerary Please
note, that Belarusian visa is not issued at the border (except Minsk-2
airport)!
What is registration and how to register?
Registration is a part of the legacy of former USSR which Belarus inherited
after its breakup in 1991. And we still live with it :(The good thing
about registration is that it's not required if you spend up to 3 days
in the country. Moreover weekend and official holidays are not included
into this term. For example, if you come on Saturday morning you may skip
registration until Wednesday next week (5 days in total). Now registration
is simplified and its cost is fixed (before the cost was calculated according
to the number of days you are staying in the country). The current cost
is about 6-7 Euros.
How to get transit visa to Belarus?
To get transit visa (for the case when you cross Belarus on your way from
east to west or from north to south) you will need to have visa for the
country of your travel, e.g. Russia or Ukraine. If the country of entry
doesn't require visa you must present a document confirming your trip
to the country of destination: a copy of the ticket, itinerary description
from a travel agency and so on. Russian visa is valid for Belarus for
a period of 48 hours for transit travelers only.
What is the visa's cost?
There is no fixed fee for Belarusian visa. The cost differs between 40
and 100 USD depending on the type of visa. The prices for getting visa
in Minsk-2 airport are as follows:

What places do you offer to see?
First of all it's the capital and its main street starting from Yakuba
Kolasa to Ploschad Lenina metro station. Walking that way you will get
an idea of how the center of Minsk looks like and see such sights as:
Victory square, Gorky park, McDonalds (OOPS), central square with the
palace of the Republic and the museum of Great Patriotic war, main post
office and Lenina square where House of Parliament and the Red church
are. There is a remarkable building in the east of the city located on
the main street as well. It's National library - huge sized building made
in high-tech style. On the second day or during the same one if you are
short of time, see the Old town and Troickoe suburb what is at Nemiga
metro station. Outside of Minsk apart from well-known Khatyn and Mound
of Glory I advise to see Stalin line and Dudutki.
